271 Think for Yourself

Are you free or are you a follower?  Does it really matter?

Today, my first choice of three key areas that you can focus on to create more freedom, be more productive and have more success in your career, your business, your relationships and your life.

1.  Thinking for yourself.

In a world that incessantly tries to persuade you, influence you and win you over, to have you follow the crowd or take a certain course of action, the best thing you can do is to think for yourself.

Thinking for yourself doesn’t mean knowing everything, it’s about ..

  • Using your natural talents to decide for yourself what to listen to, how to talk, when to talk, what to think and how to act.
  • Having the unique ability to separate the rubbish from the gold nuggets in the abundance of information available to you, at the push of a button.
  • Making the time to think about the bigger picture, being clear on what you want and focusing your mind on living the life you want to live.

People who know how to think for themselves have strong convictions and beliefs.  They are clear about what is right or wrong for them, they know how to be happy amid chaos.  They are positive people, free and independent.

On the flip side when you stop thinking for yourself, you give up your freedom, you give up control, you can be easily manipulated, you lose your ability to chose, you lose your ability to make decisions for yourself.

Do you have the ability and confidence to think by yourself and for yourself?  Are you actively exercising your mind in a positive way every day?

Decisions are made every minute of the day, the million dollar question is:

Are you making them for yourself or are you letting others make them for you?
