335 Step by Step

Have you noticed a shift?

Think about the way we are eating.  Restaurants and other establishments have become enamored with tapas, sliders (mini burgers) and tasting platters, allowing a more casual, grazing approach to mealtime.

Then, look at the way we are communicating, especially on line, it’s trending smaller and faster, instant messaging.  The message is all around,

  • Short bursts at regular intervals of high-intensity exercise gets you fitter quicker.
  • Eating a little and often keeps you slimmer
  • Even “bite-size” training sessions, promise to get you to where you want to go, faster.

The new in: bite size ~ pocket size ~ fun size ~ snack size ~ travel size ~ snack-able content.

And I think they may have something.  Big dreams and goals take time and can feel daunting.  Yet, if you focus on what is in front of you and taking the next step, it can make it so much more doable.  You can do a whole lot of good with small, measured changes.  Sometimes, it’s the small things, the small steps you take that make all the difference, it’s the small tweaks that help keep you moving in the right direction.

So, never let the size of your dreams and goals overwhelm you or scare you enough not to want to do it.  Every goal, no matter how large, can be broken down into small manageable “bite-sized” pieces that can be worked each day.  The key is taking action, no matter how big or small, each and every day.  And if you never start, it’s guaranteed to never happen!
